Job Title | Chemical Safety Intern |

Job Description | The Chemical Safety Intern position will be responsible for collecting and documenting types and quantities of chemicals being used as well as their location within the laboratories spaces. This will also include formatting and uploading existing chemical inventories into a database. Additionally, this position will assist with other duties that would support the preparation and implementation of a new chemical inventory management platform |
Minimum Qualifications | Individuals must have basic knowledge of chemicals, including how to read chemical labels to identify quantity and type. Individuals should be detail-oriented, have data entry skills, and have the ability to work independently. Will be required to complete necessary lab safety training. |
Preferred Qualifications | Have an understanding of chemical compatibility or reactivity and an ability to identify expired chemicals and the risks associated with those. |
