Essential Job Duties | Join us as an Accountant II within the Capital Project Management group! This vital role serves as the lead accounting and budget resource, driving financial planning, forecasting, and reconciliation for departmental operations. You’ll collaborate with various stakeholders, oversee critical processes, and play a key role in supporting university infrastructure projects. This position also supervises and mentors Accounting Technicians, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of routine financial tasks. With opportunities to engage with state-level organizations like UNC-General Administration and the Office of State Budget and Management, you’ll leverage your expertise to manage budgets, develop financial strategies, and ensure compliance with university policies. Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience | Bachelor’s degree with 12 credit hours of accounting coursework; or Associate’s degree in Accounting; or Associate’s degree in Business or related discipline with 12 credit hours of accounting coursework; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
