ABOUT US
The Hope Center, Inc. is a well-respected and leading recovery organization in Lexington, Kentucky-the second largest city-that cares for the homeless and at-risk persons by providing life-sustaining and life-rebuilding services that are comprehensive and address underlying addiction causes.

PURPOSE
The Chief Executive Officer is the chief administrator of Hope Center, Inc. and One Parent Scholar House, providing leadership and implementing policies and programs to carry out the work of the organizations. Key duties of the position will include fundraising, marketing, and community outreach, and management of the organizations. Most importantly, the CEO has a passion for helping individuals who seek the aid and support of the Hope Center, Inc. and One Parent Scholar House. This includes people who are homeless, who are addicted, who need employment, who seek better lives for their families through education, and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leadership/Organization Operations
    • Manages and develops staff to maximize the potential of all staff members and sets high quality performance standards.
    • Provides direct supervision and support to the management team on department responsibilities and goals, including hiring, retention, program development and the organizations’ operations and procedures.
    • Collaborates with and supports the COO to ensure a strong operational infrastructure that runs smoothly and efficiently.
    • Serves as a public representative of the organization to the media and the public, as required.
    • Implements performance standards and conducts performance reviews for senior leadership.
    • Supports and directs public relations activities to build and maintain relationships with other organizations and the public.
  • Financial Performance and Fundraising
    • Develops effective financial administration policies and procedures, including oversight of the annual budget, to protect the organizations financial integrity.
    • Works in conjunction with the CFO to prepare budgets, track and report revenue and expenses.
    • Identifies and cultivates key relationships in the private and public sectors to broaden levels of giving and develop the fundraising base, with an emphasis on fundraising opportunities with major donors.
  • Board Governance
    • Reports to the Board of Directors, maintaining open communication and disclosure of the conditions, operations and needs of the organization.
    • Drafts, presents and recommends organizational policies and programs to the Board of Directors.
    • Collaborates regularly and consistently with the Board Chair, ensuring the Board Chair is aware of, and given the opportunity to weigh in on, all material developments.
  • Organization Mission & Strategy
    • Provides strategic and operational leadership by leading the development and implementation of strategic plans for the organization.
    • Provides leadership for identifying public policy direction and initiatives related to homelessness, addiction, mental health and other outreach services.
    • Cultivates relationships with and support from leaders and elected officials in local and state governments as well as federal agencies, including the Mayor’s office, Urban County Council, Kentucky Housing Corporation, Kentucky Department of Corrections and others.

 

COMPETENCIES
This position must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, ethical practice, relationship management, critical evaluation, proficient computer skills, and the ability to work with persons in a way that shows sensitivity to cultural diversity, sexual orientation, and racial/ethnic differences. The CEO is expected to work collaboratively with his or her direct reports and to model servant leadership.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
The required education and experience for this position are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Five or more years of senior nonprofit management experience, or other experience deemed by Hope Center to reflect equivalent skills and capabilities.

HOURS
This is a full-time, exempt position and may require evening and weekend hours, as needed.

BENEFITS/SALARY
This is a full-time position offering the following benefits:

Pay: $135,000.00 – $165,000.00 per year

ABOUT US

PURPOSE
The IOP Clinician is responsible for the evaluation, engagement, and treatment of clients presenting for services at Hope Center IOP. This position is responsible for the timely assessment and engagement of clients, leading IOP groups, conducting individual sessions, creating treatment plans, utilizing empirically supported interventions, and completion of all documentation within 48-hours. This position is expected to work cooperatively with clients, staff, referral sources, and community partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains an active license and compliance with licensure board.
  • Has a working knowledge of applicable KAR and KRS.
  • Completes screenings, assessments, treatments, and formulates diagnosis plans to guide treatment interventions.
  • Cooperatively works with clients to determine appropriate interventions and goals; cooperatively develops treatment plans.
  • Engages in crisis management, safety planning, and referral as situations arise.
  • Provides education and support to clients focusing on substance abuse issues, individual and group counseling/therapy.
  • Assists clients in developing aftercare and relapse prevention plans.
  • Utilizes empirically supported treatments, interventions, and skills in individual and group settings.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION
Graduate of a college or university with master’s degree in a behavioral health field.

REQUIRED LICENSES
Must possess one of the following:

  • Certified psychologist with autonomous functioning or a licensed psychological practitioner practicing in accordance with KRS 319.056;
  • Person currently authorized to use the title of certified psychologist in accordance with KRS 319.056(3);
  • Psychological associate practicing in accordance with KRS 319.064;
  • Clinical social worker licensed and practicing in accordance with KRS 335.100;
  • Social worker certified and practicing in accordance with KRS 335.080;
  • Marriage and family therapist licensed and practicing in accordance with KRS 335.300;
  • Professional clinical counselor licensed and practicing in accordance with KRS 335.500.

 

HOURS
This is a full-time, exempt position, requiring 40 hours of work per week. Position is regularly scheduled for Monday – Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
