Basic Functions

This is a continuous recruitment for an applicant pool to fill part-time (up to 67%), substitute, temporary, or hourly assignments on an as needed basis.  


We accept applications on a continual basis.
 
Departments or Divisions will refer to the pool of applications on file, as needed, to fill temporary assignments.
 
Applicants will remain in the pool for at least 18 months.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any bachelor's degree and two (2) years of professional experience, OR any associate degree and six (6) years of professional experience OR the equivalent


LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• IAED Emergency Telecommunicator Certification (ETC)
• IAED Emergency Medical Dispatcher Certification (EMD)
• Previous training, experience, and certification or licensure as an ALS-level medical practitioner (i.e., paramedic, EMS nurse, or EMS physician)
• Five (5) years as a field paramedic or five (5) years as an EMS or Clinical Emergency Care doctor or nurse

AND ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
• Current certification as an IAED instructor (any IAED certification course)
• Current in-house communications center instructor/trainer
• Current in-house community college instructor of basic telecommunications or relevant public safety field
• Current high school emergency services career track instructor

APPLICATION PROCEDURES:

This is a continuous recruitment for an applicant pool to fill part-time (up to 67%), substitute, temporary, adjunct faculty assignments on an as needed basis.

We accept part-time faculty applications on a continual basis.

Departments or Divisions will refer to the pool of applications on file, as needed, to fill temporary assignments.

The number of adjunct instructors hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. Your application will be maintained in this adjunct pool for 18 months.
